Chasing a dream

Our friend Jakee was sitting resting under the shadow of a tree on a beautiful sunny morning in J World. He was enjoying the view with a big smile on his little rounded face as he spotted a butterfly flying from flower to another, resting for not more than seconds on each.

The butterfly flew closer to Jakee until it came so close to his nose as if kissing it, blowing small gusts of air for him to breathe. He started moving his face slowly and gently into the right and back to the left, and the butterfly moved with him chasing his mouth. Jakee raised his finger for the butterfly to sit on, but it flew away.

He stood up and followed it. The butterfly rested delicately again on another flower. Jakee reached both of his hands around the butterfly to catch it -CLAAP.. he wrapped it. Knowing he catched the fly he giggled with happiness. But as he opened his palms to see it, he was shocked to find there was nothing inside.

Jakee felt so confused, he was so sure he got it. He took a look around but could not see the butterfly anywhere.
"This can't be! I just saw it with my own eyes, I got it in my hands. Even if I did not, it should be here close somewhere!" Jakee thought.

Should Jakee believe what he think he saw and keep looking for the butterfly? Or should he just forget about it and go back sit under the shadow?

  • if he kept looking for that butterfly he'd have the hope he needs to go on, even if at the end he might not reach the desired results ... if he decided not to look for it anymore and to forget it then he should not go back to sit under the shadow, he should try to find a way to pull himself out and find a new hope or dream!
